Historic displays unveiled along with renovations
WATERLOO - The American Red Cross Hawkeye Chapter is pleased to announce an Open House at the newly renovated Community Services Building on August 11 from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m. The Red Cross will hold a ribbon cutting to kick off the event followed by tours of the entire building.
The Hawkeye Chapter will unveil its new disaster volunteer training room featuring new displays of historic Red Cross memorabilia. Throughout the building guests will enjoy new paint, artwork, walls, offices, carpet, windows and a new meeting room.
The Community Services Building, located at 2530 University Avenue in Waterloo, houses several agencies including: American Red Cross Hawkeye Chapter, American Red Cross Blood Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa, Girls Scouts of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois, and Visiting Nurses Association.
